Assiut University is a governmental university that follows Egyptian laws and regulations. The University should follow the minimal wages that are annually updated and the university administration cover that increase from its own resources.
Labor unions are officially represented in the pertained faculty councils and share in the decision and as stakeholders in preparing curricula and new programs according to their needs. They also share in the celebration of the graduation of students in different institutions and help in looking for job opportunities for their potential employers.  
Our university is organizing efforts to fight against discrimination due to any disability, social reasons, or religious background. We established a legal clinic at the Center for Human Rights Studies and Research. 
Assiut university had produced extensive efforts to protect the rights of temporary workers, through social insurance to its temporary workers.  We are following the Egyptian higher education law that guarantees free university education for students who are qualified for final secondary exam without any type of discrimination in admission policy. The complaint right is guaranteed to all employees and staff according to Egyptian civil law. 
Assiut university had established a specialized center for special needs students and employees responsible to facilitate all requirements of these persons in a very decent and humanitarian atmosphere within the main campus.
