Oral & Dental Biology Lab

Vision

The Department of Oral Biology, through the sample lab, aspires to achieve a distinguished position among similar departments in dental faculties in the Arab Republic of Egypt, by raising the level of education of students and members of the supporting staff. As well as to achieve progress in the field of scientific research that rises to the scientific status, and aims to reserve a place among the developed countries

Mission

Providing knowledge to pre-graduation students, as well as postgraduate students, about the nature, characteristics and composition of tissues in the mouth, teeth and surroundings, studying their biological properties, histological and cellular anatomy, and knowing the function of each of these parts and their suitability to perform this function. The lab also aims to provide everything new in the field of tissue and cell research, which ultimately leads to serving the human and society in the field of oral and dental health

Goals

• Developing research skills for faculty members and their assistants in the department
• Achieving integration of the department by carrying out joint scientific research

 Services

The lab provides the slides required to teach the practical part of oral and dental biology by cutting the samples and passing them to become in the form of glass slides, as well as photographing them for use in the educational process by examining them with optical microscopes in student laboratories or displaying them on the data show in the stands and laboratories

The laboratory provides an educational service to the supporting staff in the department by training them on the steps of preparing, passing, examining and photographing samples
