Techno Khair Association at Assiut University launches a project ‘Women UP’ to empower women economically

Assiut University President, Prof.Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, affirmed the keenness of the university administration to consolidate the foundations of work based on creativity and innovation and spread the culture of entrepreneurship and self-employment among youth by encouraging them to participate effectively in all fields. This came in conjunction with the launch of the project "Women UP" for the economic empowerment of women at the level of the Republic, which is one of the projects funded by the European Union and the Egyptian government, under the supervision of the Academy of Scientific Research, Techno Khair Association for Development and Secom Development Association. The project "Women UP" aims to strengthen the role and potential of women entrepreneurs in Egypt with a particular focus on the Delta, Assiut and Sohag by empowering women to maximize opportunities for self-employment and support for women-led companies. The project is divided into two parts: financial support and technical support through the provision of workshops for experts specialized in everything related to their fields of projects, which would help women carry out feasibility studies and establish a business entity.
