Al-Rajhi University Hospital Manages in Saving the Life of Moroccan and Egyptian Young men by Two Successful Liver Transplants

Assiut University President, Prof. Tarek EL-Gammal, announced the success of two new liver transplants at Al-Rajhi University Hospital for Liver and Gastrointestinal System. With these two surgeries, the total of this most minute and complex surgeries reached 29 surgeries with success ratio exceeding 98% and this represents an additional evidence of the distinction and pioneering role Assiut University Hospitals. On his part, Dr. Ihab Fawzy, Hospital director, stated that the two new cases included liver transplant for a young Moroccan male aging 42 and the donor was his wife aging 32; the other case was a transplant for an Egyptian patient aging 60 and his son aging 37 was the donor. Dr. Fawzy added that the hospital pursued necessary medical follow up to make sure that patients and donors were fine and that the liver was fine and functioning properly.
