Al-Gammal Announces New Cooperation between South Egypt Cancer Institute and the Faculty of Pharmacy for the Development of Cancer Medications

Assiut University Vice President Dr. Tarek Al-Gammal asserted that the university shows strong interest in supporting the scientific and medical effort exerted at the South Egypt Cancer Institute (SECI) and facilitating all difficulties to develop the medical and treatment service which mounted to high recovery ratios of more than 40 thousand cancer patients in Upper Egypt annually. The SECI has been also recognized by the certificate of accreditation obtained from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE). The SECI has become the first Institute nationwide that grants Master's and Doctorate Degrees. Besides, the success more than 13 marrow transplantation surgeries makes the environment suitable for the development of cancer medication in collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy.
