Dr.. Al-Minshawy: The camps aim to discover students’ abilities and practice intellectual, artistic and sports activities

Training camps and student activities at Assiut National University will begin tomorrow, Sunday, under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, and under the supervision of Dr. Nobi Mohamed Hassan, Vice President of Assiut National University for Academic Affairs, and are scheduled to continue from Sunday 4 to Thursday, February 8, 2024, and include areas of activities. Sports, social, cultural and artistic.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Minshawy pointed out that the university is keen to support and encourage student activities within the National University, and provide the opportunity for its students to develop their talents and highlight distinguished elements in various fields, believing in the role of student activities in building the student’s personality, opening his awareness, and enhancing his cognitive and intellectual awareness.

The President of Assiut University praised the keenness of the Egyptian state, led by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to establish private universities in a distinguished manner that keeps pace with the smart fourth-generation universities, which achieve a real addition to the higher education system in Egypt, noting that Assiut National University includes a number of stadiums. And distinguished gyms that serve all areas of student activities, and are qualified to hold sports matches for various individual and team games.

Dr. Nobi Mohamed Hassan, Vice President of Assiut National University for Academic Affairs, said that training camps and student activities are available to those wishing to participate from all faculties of the National University for free and without prior registration, and are scheduled to start from Sunday 4 until next Thursday, February 8, 2024, and include areas of sports activities. Social, cultural and artistic games, which include five-a-side football (males), volleyball (males/females), basketball (males/females), table tennis (males/females), chess (males/females), in addition to artistic workshops in The fields of drawing and plastic arts, in addition to holding a number of competitions in the field of general information, memorization and recitation of the Holy Quran.

The training camps come under the supervision of Professor Mustafa Hassan, Secretary General of the National University, Dr. Haitham Ibrahim, Director General of Youth Welfare at Assiut University, Professor Khaled Zulfiqar Murad, Youth Welfare Officer, Dr. Ahmed Salah Sabry, Professor Siham Bakr Muhammad, and Professor Maysara Ahmed Thabet, who are responsible for the activity.
