Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, Acting President of Assiut University, issued a decision to appoint Dr. Khaled Mohamed Fares, Professor at the Department of Anesthesiology, Resuscitation and Oncology, as Executive Director of the Oncology Hospital at the South Egypt Cancer Institute, in addition to his work, until the appointment of an Executive Director of the hospital. Also, he issued several decisions appointing 5 new department heads in the various faculties of the university. It included the appointment of Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Rahman Hassan, Professor at the Department of Social Planning, as head of the Social Planning Department at the faculty of Social Work for three years, and Dr. Ashraf Mohamed Abdel-Malek Sultan, Professor at the Department of Health Control of Food, as head of the Department of Health Control of Food at the faculty of Veterinary Medicine for three years.
He also issued a decision appointing Dr. Bahaa Mohamed Mahmoud Ahmed Abo-Zaid, Professor of Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, as Head of the Chemistry Department for three years. The decisions also included the renewal of Dr. Rabie Dardir Mohamed Ali, full-time professor in the Islamic Sharia Department at the Faculty of Law, assuming supervision of the Islamic Sharia Department in the faculty for a year.
As well as renewing the assignment of Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Al-Mukhtar Mahmoud, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Faculty of Medicine, to supervise the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Faculty of Pharmacy, for one year.
