The President of Assiut University Issues a Decision Appointing a New Dean for the Institute of Molecular Biology Research and Studies, to Succeed Dr. Asma Abdel Nasser, the First Dean of the Institute

 Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, Acting President of Assiut University, issued a decision deputizing Dr. Amr Mohamed Abdel-Fattah, Professor at the Department of Animal Medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Vice-Dean of the Institute of Molecular Biology Research and Studies for Postgraduate Studies and Research, to carry out the work of the dean of the institute for one year.  Dr. Abdel-Fattah will succeed Dr. Asmaa Abdel Nasser, deputized from the faculty of Veterinary Medicine to be the first dean of the institute that was established based on Ministerial Resolution No. 1634 of 2019 AD as a  specialized institute for postgraduate studies in the field of intersciences and as a development of the activity of the Molecular Biology Research Unit established in 1996 AD.
Dr. Al-Minshawy stated that the institute is the first of its kind since it is unique in studying applications of molecular biology and biotechnology as well as appling bioinformatics to develop human and veterinary medical research. The instate also carries out research in basic, agricultural, pharmaceutical, computer and information sciences to solve societal problems. The institute grants diplomas, master’s and doctorate degrees in Philosophy, in addition to preparing scientific cadres trained to implement the programs and projects of the research plan of the Institute and other institutes and faculties inside and outside the university.
