In commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the June 30 Revolution, Assiut University organized a community march today, the first in a series of commemorative events scheduled for July 2023. The theme of this anniversary is "Ten Years After the June 30 Revolution: Repercussions of the Past and Prospects for the Future."
          The commemorative march was led by Major-General Essam Saad, Governor of Assiut City, accompanied by Prof. Ahmed Al-Minshawi, President of Assiut University, Vice Presidents, other university officials, students, and a delegation of representatives of Islamic and Christian religious leaders in Assiut City. The march began in front of the Administration Building and marched through the campus, carrying flags and banners.

          In his speech, Prof. Al-Minshawi expressed his heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, on the tenth anniversary of the June 30 Revolution, highlighting the presence of public and prominent political figures at the university's celebration to honor the Revolution's success in upholding the Egyptian state and identity as well as to express support for the revolution's leader, and for all the state's devoted leaders and the executive bodies. He also noted that the university's commemorative events continue throughout the month by hosting several academic and scientific seminars for students and faculty members to highlight the Revolution's achievements over the past ten years and the Egyptian state's role in preserving this entity.
          Major General Essam Saad, Governor of Assiut, for his part, confirmed that Egypt is undergoing significant changes to build a modern country based on international standards, noting that the past decade has seen unprecedented construction, development, and urbanization, with political leadership adopting initiatives that target all segments of society, like the Decent Life Initiative, to improve the living standards and quality of life for Egyptians. These efforts aim to keep Egypt at the forefront of global development and ensure a sustainable and prosperous future for all Egyptians.
