Assiut University Announces the Launch of a New Special Program at the Faculty of Computers and Information

Ahmed El-Minshawy, Acting President of Assiut University, announced the start of study in a new special program at the Faculty of Computers and Information, which is the “Artificial Intelligence Program” , as a continuation of the implementation of the university’s strategy aimed at expanding the introduction of special and distinguished programs in various disciplines in the university’s faculties with the aim of developing the educational process provided, to cope with the global development and works to meet the renewable labor market needs, which is increasingly dependent on technology day by day.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Moula, Acting Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, explained that the program with which study begins this academic year, 2022/2023 AD, has been approved as a special program for expenses in accordance with Ministerial Resolution No. 4067 of 2022 AD. The program is scheduled to accept students  High school graduates with a total of 357 for sciences division and 326 mathematics division, as an extension of the special programs offered by the college over the previous years.
For her part, Dr. Tayseer Abdel Hamid, Dean of faculty of Computers and Information, explained that the supervisor of the program, Dr. Abdel Rahman Haidar, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, also indicated that the program includes 8 academic majors for students, which are the basics of artificial intelligence, computer vision, smart systems, machine learning, natural language processing, robotics, human-computer interaction, and artificial intelligence practice.  She adds that students wishing to study in the program should go to the faculty’s student affairs to register.
