Al-Minshawi begins the celebrations of Assiut University and Our Green Future by launching a bicycle race and opening the Faculties' Exhibition

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, Acting President of Assiut University, confirmed the university’s success in organizing the activities of “Assiut University and Our Green Future,” which lasted throughout November. Such activities paralleled the successful Egyptian experience of the Climate Conference Cop27 which was held in Sharm El-Sheikh. The conference hosted about 190 participating countries and was attended by leaders from various countries. Moreover, the conference reflected a high-level organization that emphasized Egypt's success in restoring its international position among the countries of the world.
This declaration came in an official statement by the president during his participation in the start of the closing ceremony of the activities of "Assiut University and Our Green Future". The ceremony took place in the Olympic Village, in the presence of Dr. Maha Ghanem, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and the general supervisor of the celebration; Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, Acting Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Thabet Abdel Moneim, Director of the Center for Environmental Studies and Research; and a group of deans, vice-presidents, and members of the teaching staff of the university faculties and their administrative leaders.
Dr. Maha Ghanem stated that the celebration began with the launch of the University President for a cycling race. Many university students, as well as several students from Al-Salam Schools, Smart City and Integrated Care Schools participated in the race. Following the race was the opening of the Environmental Activities Exhibition, which included in its entirety exhibits dealing with various environmental challenges. On the top of these challenges: climate change and the problems it causes to the environment and how to confront it, pollution and how to fight it, and ways to preserve natural resources for future generations. This was done through posters for the research of students of various faculties and models of environmentally friendly green projects that they presented.
