The College of Law continues the series of awareness seminars that it began with the symposium “For the sake of your country, be positive and participate in the 2024 presidential elections” at the College of Dentistry today, Sunday, December 3.
Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Dweib Hussein Saber, Dean of the College, and Dr. Rajab Al-Kahlawy, Vice President of the College for Education and Student Affairs, the College of Dentistry witnessed, today, December 3, a symposium within a series of symposiums. “For the sake of your country; be positive and participate in the 2024 presidential elections,” which was organized by the College of Law, and lectured by Dr. Dwaib Hussein Saber, Dean of the College of Law, and Legal Advisor to the University President, and Dr. Rajab Muhammad Al-Kahlawi, Professor and Head of the Public Law Department at the College, and the College’s Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs. .
Dr. Dwaib Hussein Saber confirmed that the university administration supports holding these purposeful seminars, due to its belief in the necessity of educating young people about the importance of exercising their political rights, as participation in political life in general and the upcoming presidential elections in particular is an urgent necessity during the current period, calling on students to be positive people, and to They contribute to the electoral process by casting their votes, and not paying attention to destructive ideas, pointing out that the high participation rate wastes the opportunity for any lurking in the country who seeks to undermine its stability and freedom of decision-making.
Dr. Rajab Al-Kahlawi also praised the role of the state in supporting youth, and that it opens the way for them to participate in all fields, praising the great support of the university administration in launching this ray of light and for shedding light on this series of seminars, hoping that it will bear fruit in increasing political and national awareness among young people. So that they are not led by destructive ideas that aim to harm the homeland.
The symposium witnessed the participation of Dr. Safaa Marzouk Tahami, Dean of the College of Dentistry, Dr. Muhammad Badawi Abdel Hamid, Vice Dean of the College of Dentistry for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Hebatullah Gamal El-Din Rashid, Vice Dean of the College of Dentistry for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and the presence of a number of faculty members, college staff and students.
Dr. Dwaib Hussein also thanked the university administration for its great support to the Faculty of Law in organizing this series of important awareness seminars, as they come as we are on the verge of a landmark constitutional entitlement that brings the President of the State, and participation in it reflects the extent of the Egyptian people’s culture and awareness of their rights and duties, praising the youth’s positivity and confidence in their turnout. At the ballot boxes, and with Egyptian women’s political awareness and pride in the constitutional rights they have enjoyed for many years, ahead of many countries in the world, this must be demonstrated to the entire world.
The symposium reviewed the importance of participation, in addition to the procedures for the presidential elections, and their chronological stages, from the opening of nominations to the announcement of the results, noting that participation in the upcoming electoral elections is a type of return to the homeland that is dominated by freedom, security, and safety.
